Stratford Medical Centre has welcomed a new doctor to the team – Dr. Jenny Chandler.<\/p>\n
Dr Jenny is\u00a0a registrar and will be completing her specialist\u00a0training with us over the next year.<\/p>\n
She has more than 10 years of paediatric experience since qualifying as a doctor. She has been working around Cape York Peninsular and moved to Cairns to complete her Specialist GP training.<\/p>\n
Dr Chandler was born and raised in Scotland and completed her medical degree there in 2006.<\/p>\n
Since then she has worked in Scotland, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.<\/p>\n
She says her passion is children’s health and she has spent more than 5 years specialising in hospital and community paediatrics before entering general practice. She has a National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.<\/p>\n
She enjoys all areas of general practice and says it is an honour to treat the whole family through illness and health.<\/p>\n
Outside of work, Dr Chandler loves walking her rescue dog, camping and travelling.<\/p>\n
She is mum to two little boys, Louie, 3 and Arthur who recently turned 1, and she is married to another doctor.<\/p>\n
